Donations to the SWWC Foundation support a wide variety of regional student enrichment opportunities for K-12 students ... because we believe that every student, no matter where they live or how much money they have, deserves enrichment experiences that position them to learn, grow and find success.

The Schwan's Culinary Skills Challenge features high school students showcasing their artistic and scientific creations through hands-on competitions and seminars. Competitions include baking science, cake decorating, culinary, food art, knife skills, menu design, and place setting/napkin folding. The event is held at SMSU in Marshall.

Students in grades 3-12 were invited to submit poetry, fiction and non-fiction writings by January 23. The Creative Writing Contest Awards Ceremony will be held on April 23 to honor the top finishers in each age group and category. Winning submissions will be published in the 2023 Anthology. This event is a partnership between SWWC and the SMSU Creative Writing Department.

The Science and Nature Conference will be held on May 9 at SMSU in Marshall. The keynote speaker will be Dazzling Dave, a professional yo-yo performer. Students will then attend three sessions from a list of 26 different hands-on, interactive breakout sessions. This is a GREAT opportunity to get kids excited about science, technology, engineering and math!

Planning for 2023 Camp Aspire has begun and more information will be shared with schools and families in the coming weeks. Camp Aspire, held in June at SWWC's ELC in Pipestone, is sponsored by the Monogram Foods Loves Kids Foundation.
